The Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) course is designed to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of all the Knowledge Areas of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK). The course prepares participants to sit for the CDMP Data Management Fundamentals examination (core exam), and it has been designed to help participants to work through the DMBoK in a workshop environment. The course explains the essential concepts, context diagrams, activities, deliverables, and roles for all the Knowledge Areas of the DAMA Wheel.
Course Methodology
This is an interactive course with facilitator led presentations, exercises, and group work. Participants will be provided with a hard or soft copy of the DAMA DMBoK, study notes, mind maps, practice quizzes and the opportunity to join a study group.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of Data Management according to the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK Version 2)
- Understand all elements of the DMBoK areas, including: Goals and Principles, Organization and Culture, Activities, Deliverables, Practices and Techniques, Technology, and Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare for the CDMP Data Management Fundamentals examination
